freiraum kollektive is a multidisciplinary discussion platform and nonprofit design studio established by hannah wood and katharina manecke in 2014.
freiraum kollektive aims to empower those who traditionally would not have access to architectural decision-making to have a say in how their cities are shaped.
we operates at the boundaries of cultural theory to bring architectural agency into the public domain. as a non-profit organisation, we work within diverse communities to develop design prototypes, events, workshops and exhibitions. we act to encourage knowledge sharing and our members network spans some of the world’s most politically isolated regions.
we run workshops, design and coordinate nonprofit construction projects and link actors worldwide.
